This view of 168 Street shows one of three Status Quo Pattern street types.  This street is an example of a limited collector street.  The right of way is 20 metres (66') wide.  The apparent width of the street is accentuated by the absence of streeet trees and deep building front setbacks.  Also note the absence of on-street parking which is frequently regulated against on collector and arterial streets.  this leaves a 6.1 metre (20') travel lane available for each vehicle, encouraging speeds in excess of posted limits.  Presumable the west side (photograph right) will be developed to the same standards.
