105A Avenue looking East:
30m (96') total distance building front to building front
20m (66') right-of-way.

This view of 105A Avenue shows one of three Status Quo Pattern street types.  This avenue is an example of a residential street.   The right of way width is 20 metres (66').  Street trees and above ground joint utility poles are absent.  Note the broad street width which, despite the presence of some on-street parking, allows the passage of  at least two vehicles simultaneously.  Note also the deep building front setback, and  the lack of sidewalk on the south side (photograph right). Parking is allowed on both sides of Surrey residential streets.  On street parking is used far less intensively than in Traditional Pattern streets. Lower overall densities and the availability of parking in garages and on long double or triple width driveways help explain why.
