This
axonometric view illustrates the Traditional Pattern study site
essentially as it exists today. There are a total of 99 dwelling
units on the study site which averages to 3300 dwelling units per
kilometre (13.4 d.u./acre) of Traditional Pattern development.
This pattern accomodates over three times more families than the
Status Quo Pattern; smaller lots, taller buildings, and multiple
dwelling units on many parcels are the reasons why. Alleys,
shown as dashed right-of-ways between the back of lots, provide
for car storage, service access for fire and utility, and absorb
and direct storm run off.
