Medium-density courtyard housing is proposed south of the commercial hub. Each of the open spaces provided by the courtyards not only contribute to the site’s ecological infrastructure by doubling as infiltration areas, but also serve as important semi-private open spaces for residents. The courtyards are linked to the surrounding neighbourhood and open-space system via a network of pedestrian paths.
